Job Description

Eagle Eye Inspection Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Home Inspector to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in helping homebuyers and sellers make informed decisions during real estate transactions. In addition to standard home inspections, the successful candidate will be trained in and assist with Radon mitigation system installation.

We service all of Northwest Pennsylvania, so a willingness to travel locally is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background, excellent observational skills, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive home inspections for real estate transactions according to industry standards and company guidelines.

• Identify and document issues related to the structure, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other major home systems.

• Create detailed, easy-to-understand inspection reports with photos and recommendations.

• Explain inspection results clearly to clients and answer any questions they may have.

• Safely install and maintain radon mitigation systems (training provided).

• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.

• Stay updated on relevant local codes, building practices, and licensing requirements.

• Coordinate with real estate agents, homebuyers, sellers, and other stakeholders.

• Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and customer service.

Qualifications

Required:

• Solid background in construction, general contracting, or a related field (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing).

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable working in confined spaces, on roofs, and in varying weather conditions.

• Basic computer and technology skills (for using inspection software and mobile devices).

Preferred:

• Prior experience as a home inspector or in a similar inspection-related field.

• Home Inspector Certification or willingness to obtain (ASHI, InterNACHI, etc.).

• Experience with radon testing or mitigation systems.
